Biology, Mathematics & Physics Initiative (BMPI) Applications for BMPI Funding for Current Students

Applications are invited for BMPI Fellowships for the 2006/2007 academic year and for xxxx.

Departments who can identify current students in their graduate programs who have not yet received BMPI funding and who might be appropriate to receive support for this program are encouraged to submit their names according to the procedure described below.

Students currently receiving support who are interested in continuing support are also encouraged to apply.

All applications should be processed though the student's home department, which should submit:

1) A list of candidates for BMPI funding
2) A covering letter summarizing each candidate's suitability for an award
3) A copy of each student's file.

In addition, each student should submit:

1) A description of the research and other activities they intend to carry out if they receive an award
2) A letter of support form their advisor
3) If possible, a letter from another faculty member.

Applications are invited for full fellowships, half fellowships or summer support. In each case, students should submit items 1-3 as listed above.

Students only seeking summer support can apply directly to the BMPI Committee by sending their application to the BMPI Coordinator (see address below).
